We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer
with a solid background around invoice processing, data entry and payment scheduling. Initial 4 - 6 week opportunity in Jandakot with the potential to extend.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Officer oversees the accounts payable function and supports a variety of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping tasks within the business.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the Accounts Payable function (data entry, coding and processing).
• Processing a high volume of invoices
• Investigation of creditor issues and problem resolution of invoices.
• Assisting in reconciliations (bank, accounts and petty cash).
• Accurate filing of accounts documentation
• Liaising with suppliers, management and other staff members in a friendly and approachable manner
• Document control of accounts documentation
• Investigate and respond to customer account enquiries and refer complex problems to the Accounts Manager.
• Assist in end of month processes and reporting.
• Reconcile statements, credit cards and expense accounts.
• General office duties and clerical support to staff.
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in an equivalent Accounts Payable Officer role preferably within a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Great Attention to Detail
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Good time management skills and ability to priorities
- Proactive Problem Solver
- Must have full working rights within Australia
