The Opportunity
 
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a knack for process efficiency? We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a dynamic finance team. This is a critical role responsible for managing the full-cycle AP process, ensuring our vendor relationships are maintained through accuracy, timeliness, and professional communication.
 
 
The Role
 
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the accounts payable function from invoice receipt through to final payment. You will act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and play a key role in supporting the wider finance team during month-end closures and audits.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Invoice Management: Receive, verify, and code supplier invoices, ensuring accurate entry into the system and timely internal approvals.
  • Payment Processing: Schedule and process electronic payments in accordance with company policy and cash flow requirements.
  • Vendor Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile vendor statements and maintain meticulous financial records to ensure ledger accuracy.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage all vendor communications, proactively resolving discrepancies and maintaining positive supplier relationships.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Support month-end closing activities and provide necessary documentation for financial audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (Essential).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar high-volume finance role.
  • Systems: Previous experience with SAP is highly regarded and will be a significant advantage.
  • IT Literacy: Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

This is a 12-month contract with extension opportunities
