Rate: $75,000 - $85,000 + super (dependent on experience)

About the Role
DRD Group is seeking an Accounts Payroll Officer to join our internal team. This role offers a great balance between end-to-end payroll and accounts support, ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a supportive and flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for 150+ employees accurately and on time
- Act as the first point of escalation for payroll queries and issues
- Ensure compliance with PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and relevant legislation
- Manage onboarding and offboarding documentation and compliance processes
- Maintain payroll records and assist with internal and external audits
- Support Accounts Payable and Receivable functions including invoicing and reconciliations
- Assist with payment runs and outstanding balance management
- Identify and contribute to process improvements and system efficiencies
Mandatory Requirements
- 1–2+ years’ experience in payroll processing
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and awards
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
Preferred
- Qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Experience with JobAdder, Astute, or Xero
- Experience within recruitment, labour hire, or similar industries
