About the Role
You’ll play a key role in leading crews and ensuring civil works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. Working closely with the Supervisor and project team, you’ll be responsible for coordinating daily site activities and maintaining high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise civil crews across road construction activities
- Coordinate daily site works, ensuring delivery targets are met
- Interpret construction drawings and communicate plans clearly to crews
- Manage site-based QA processes with support from engineers
- Ensure accurate recording of works using digital systems
- Maintain strong safety and compliance standards on site
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand or similar in civil construction
- Strong understanding of road construction techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience with QA processes on civil projects
- Confident using app-based systems (e.g. Dashpivot, SiteMate, AssetVision)
- Strong communication skills and team leadership ability
- Reliable with a solid attendance record
- Cert III or IV in Civil Construction (Road Construction)
- Traffic Management Implementation (TMI)
- Experience on TMR projects
- Stabilisation experience
- $46.50/hr + Super (flat rate)
- Company vehicle provided
- Monday to Friday roster (occasional nights/weekends)
- 12-month contract with potential for permanent position
- Join a reputable civil contractor with ongoing pipeline of work
- White Card
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Full working rights in Australia
