We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our project delivery team, supporting infrastructure design and execution across all phases of the project lifecycle—from initiation to close-out. This role is critical in ensuring technical compliance, safety, and quality across site-based activities, while fostering a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
�55357;�56615; Technical & Site Supervision
- Oversee site-based civil works to ensure compliance with safety standards, specifications, and project plans
- Respond to technical queries promptly, facilitating coordination between site and design teams
- Monitor daily progress and productivity, driving efficiency and continuous improvement
- Assist the Construction Manager in resource planning, material utilization, and daily activity alignment
- Maintain detailed records including daily diaries, meeting minutes, action registers, and decisions logs
- Ensure document control and management of technical drawings, communications, and compliance records
- Coordinate and sign off on quality documentation including ITPs, ITRs, and MDRs
- Own and manage Live Infrastructure Risk Assessments and support Management of Change (MoC) procedures
- Participate in punch listing and maintain the punch list register
- Support contractor relationships, ensuring accountability to contractual obligations
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support project execution and delivery
- Assist the Civil Engineering Package Manager with commercial reviews and payment claims
Qualifications & Experience �55356;�57235; Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- Site-based civil engineering experience, ideally within operational mining or brownfield environments
- Strong understanding of HSEQ principles and project risk management
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and perform under pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional institution
- Familiarity with Fortescue procedures and standards
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidelines
