Rate: Up to $100 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Project Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects, including high-voltage substations and utility-scale solar infrastructure.
This role will focus on providing engineering and construction support across design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide civil and structural engineering support across all project phases
- Review and manage design deliverables and contractor submissions
- Resolve technical queries, non-conformances, and field engineering issues
- Monitor construction progress against scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Oversee civil and structural works including foundations, drainage, roads, and infrastructure
- Support inspections, commissioning, and project handover activities
- Manage interfaces across engineering, construction, and operational teams
- Drive strong safety practices and compliance across site
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5–10 years’ experience in civil/structural engineering within project environments
- Experience on infrastructure, energy, mining, or renewable projects
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and field engineering
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Preferred
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
- Experience on HV substations or solar projects
- Experience managing contractors and engineering consultants
- Strong design management and technical governance experience
