Civil Supervisor

We are looking for experienced and proactive Civil Supervisors to oversee all civil construction activities for a large-scale solar farm project. This role is critical in ensuring that earthworks, foundations, drainage, access roads, and structural supports are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. You’ll act as the key interface between site crews, contractors, engineers, and project management to drive progress and achieve project milestones.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil works including earthworks, piling, drainage, and structural installations
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Coordinate subcontractors, plant operators, and labour crews to meet schedule and budget targets
• Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship and adherence to design specifications
• Manage work permits, toolbox talks, and daily pre-starts to foster a strong safety culture
• Monitor productivity, resource allocation, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Report daily progress, risks, and issues to the Construction Manager or Project Engineer
• Liaise with engineering and design teams to resolve technical challenges and manage variations
• Ensure civil infrastructure is installed to support electrical and mechanical systems
• Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and workforce attendance
• Support commissioning teams by preparing civil works for handover

• Trade qualification or degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (desirable)
• Proven experience supervising civil works on solar, mining, or large infrastructure projects
• Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, concrete, piling, drainage, and structural supports
• Solid understanding of WHS regulations, environmental compliance, and QA/QC processes
• Ability to lead diverse teams in remote site environments
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills
