We are seeking an experienced and proactive Civil Supervisor to join a site-based operations team.

Reporting to the Project Manager / Superintendent, you will oversee and coordinate civil construction activities to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.

This position suits a hands-on leader with strong field experience in mining or heavy civil construction environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily civil works such as earthworks, road construction, drainage, foundations, and concrete activities
  • Lead and coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and plant operators
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, site procedures, and environmental requirements
  • Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings, and on-site risk assessments
  • Track productivity, progress, and quality against project objectives
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and project management personnel
  • Manage labour, materials, and plant to support efficient delivery
  • Prepare progress reports and contribute to incident and performance reporting
About You
  • Proven background as a Civil Supervisor in mining or large-scale civil construction
  • Strong technical understanding of bulk earthworks, haul roads, drainage systems, and concrete structures
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse site teams
  • Solid knowledge of safety systems and risk mitigation practices
  • Confident in reading and interpreting engineering plans and drawings
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Current driver’s licence (HR advantageous)
  • Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent (preferred)
