About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead (SCADA & Controls) to support the commissioning of major renewable energy and transmission infrastructure projects. Working across substations, solar farms, wind farms, battery energy storage systems, and power management systems, you will play a key role in ensuring safe and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead commissioning activities for SCADA and control systems
• Configure and troubleshoot RTUs and SCADA applications
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and test documentation
• Conduct FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities
• Support integration of renewable energy and substation systems
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, technology, and commissioning teams
• Provide technical troubleshooting and system optimisation support
• Update engineering documentation and as-built records
• Ensure quality, compliance, and commissioning outcomes are achieved

Mandatory Requirements
• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, Mechatronics Engineering, or relevant trade qualification
• 5+ years’ experience in control systems within utilities or power generation
• Experience with SCADA, RTU, HMI, and network systems
• Experience with industrial protocols including IEC61850, Modbus, DNP3, and IEC104
• Strong commissioning and troubleshooting experience
• Strong understanding of electrical standards and control systems architecture
• Ability to work on FIFO site rotations

Preferred
• Experience with Siemens A8000, SEL RTAC, SICAM SCC, Ignition, or similar systems
• Utility, transmission, renewable energy, or power station experience
• Knowledge of IEC61131 programming languages
• Experience with cybersecurity and secure network architecture
• Experience commissioning renewable generation and battery storage facilities
