We’re seeking experienced Shotfirers, Drillers, Blast Crew, and Driller Offsiders for upcoming opportunities in early 2026 across large-scale production mining sites throughout WA. All roles are FIFO from Perth only . These positions offer the chance to work with modern equipment and be part of high-performing teams.

Shotfirers
  • Current Shotfirer’s Ticket is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a blast crew, ensuring all blasting activities are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Hands-on experience with electronic initiation systems
  • Strong commitment to maintaining compliance and high standards of housekeeping across magazines, compounds, explosive vehicles, and designated work areas
Drillers
  • Operate Epiroc D65 (MK I and MK II), Pit Viper 271, KWL700, T450, T685 and CAT MD6310 drill rigs
  • Perform drilling for both production blasts and contour patterns
  • Handle hole sizes ranging from 89 mm to 229 mm
  • Operate drill support vehicles when required
  • Monitor, replace, and maintain drill consumables as necessary
Blast Crew 
  • Skilled in operating stemming trucks, as well as priming and loading blast holes
  • Competent in using MPU units for both ANFO and pumpable explosive products
  • High level of accuracy when conducting daily stocktakes of explosive materials
Drillers Offsider
  • Assist with drill rig setup, operation, and pack-down
  • Handle drill rods, casing, and consumables safely
  • Mix and monitor drilling fluids as instructed
  • Operate support equipment (water carts, loaders, stemming trucks)
  • Maintain site housekeeping and adhere to OH&S standards
  • Perform basic equipment checks and maintenance
  • Support bore casing installation and blast preparation
  • Load/unload consumables and assist with general labouring duties
