About the Role
We are seeking experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisors to support the delivery of major decarbonisation and infrastructure projects across multiple operating sites in Regional WA.
This role is responsible for leading the safe and efficient commissioning and energisation of electrical systems from installation verification through to operational handover. Working closely with engineering, construction, project delivery, and operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage commissioning activities aligned with project and construction schedules
- Coordinate commissioning readiness with engineering, construction, commissioning, and HSE teams
- Lead and supervise commissioning technicians, electricians, and subcontractors on site
- Allocate work, monitor progress, and drive quality outcomes across commissioning activities
- Oversee installation verification, pre-commissioning, functional testing, and energisation activities for HV and LV systems
- Witness and validate testing activities to ensure compliance with design requirements and standards
- Troubleshoot commissioning issues and coordinate resolution of technical defects
- Ensure compliance with site HSE requirements, permit systems, and electrical safety standards
- Prepare commissioning reports, test records, certificates, and handover documentation
- Monitor risks, technical issues, and project delivery milestones throughout commissioning and handover phases
- Electrical Trade Certificate or Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Current WA Electrical Licence
- Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical commissioning within mining, resources, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong experience with HV and LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, protection systems, and control equipment
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing commissioning teams in FIFO environments
- Strong understanding of electrical safety systems, compliance requirements, and commissioning processes
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- HV Switching Ticket
- Previous iron ore project experience
- Experience working on major brownfield or greenfield mining projects
- Familiarity with substations, HV distribution systems, conveyors, and mining infrastructure
- $1,380 per day
