Working closely with the Electrical Superintendent, you’ll ensure field execution is aligned with schedule requirements, IFC drawings, technical standards, and project expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise daily electrical installation activities including 33kV OHL, PV arrays, cable trays, cable pulls, terminations, earthing, and equipment installation.
- Lead field‑level coordination with subcontractors to ensure safe, productive delivery.
- Provide technical guidance to crews and ensure compliance with IFC drawings, scopes, and relevant AS/NZS electrical standards.
- Monitor progress across multiple work fronts, identifying delays or quality concerns and escalating to the Electrical Superintendent.
- Conduct inspections and witness testing including IR testing, earth continuity, and pre‑commissioning checks.
- Maintain accurate redline markups for as‑built documentation.
- Participate in toolbox talks, pre‑starts, and site safety initiatives.
- Assist with reviewing and implementing ITPs, work packs, and SWMS.
- Support daily reporting, material tracking, and interface coordination.
- Foster strong working relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold high HSE standards on site.
- Experience in site-based electrical construction.
- Strong background in LV and HV installation (solar or renewables experience highly regarded).
- Proven experience supervising or leading electrical work crews in a FIFO environment.
- Solid understanding of QA/QC processes and testing procedures relating to solar farm infrastructure.
- Competency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
- Good knowledge of AS/NZS wiring rules and installation standards.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and solve problems in fast‑changing conditions.
- Reliable, proactive, and safety‑driven.
- Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Adaptable and calm under pressure with a positive attitude.
- Electrical trade qualification.
- WA Electrical Licence.
- HV switching competency (preferred).
- Construction White Card.
