We’re looking for talented and driven Electrical Designers at the Lead, Senior and Intermediate levels to join our client's high-performance engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to multi-billion-dollar, multi-year studies and projects across multiple assets, supporting all phases from scoping through to execution. You’ll work under the guidance of a project lead and report to the Manager Engineering, delivering electrical design responsibilities across a diverse portfolio.
You’ll play a key role in technical development, project support, and design optimisation, while ensuring all documentation, specifications, and engineering outputs meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and produce detailed electrical schematics, single line diagrams and distribution layouts.
- Undertake and review electrical design calculations and reports.
- Coordinate closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure designs are practical, safe, and buildable.
- Support the continuous improvement of design standards, templates, and design systems.
- Provide input into design reviews, equipment selection, and design integration across disciplines.
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in industrial electrical design and project delivery
- Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, estimating, and cost control
- Deep understanding of engineering principles and design processes
- Experience with processing plant equipment and/or bulk material handling equipment
- Ability to manage technical inputs and engineering risks across multidisciplinary teams
