About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a site-based Engineering & Reliability team supporting fixed plant operations. Working closely with maintenance, operations, and technical teams, you will play a key role in improving asset reliability, supporting operational performance, and delivering technical solutions across critical electrical infrastructure.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys balancing reliability, maintenance, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement technical solutions to support safe and reliable operations
• Analyse equipment performance and identify reliability improvement opportunities
• Design, develop, and optimise maintenance strategies and plans
• Support the development and implementation of FMECAs and reliability initiatives
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and improve electrical systems
• Investigate recurring equipment issues and deliver sustainable engineering solutions
• Support the ongoing maintenance of electrical assets including transformers, RMUs, motors, VSDs, distribution boards, and field devices
• Monitor and analyse maintenance KPIs to drive business improvements
• Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and project teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the process plant
Mandatory Requirements
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer within mining, resources, heavy industry, or similar environments
• Understanding of reliability engineering principles and asset management practices
• Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations
• Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
• Working knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to engage effectively with operational and technical stakeholders
Preferred
• Experience with process plant or fixed plant operations
• Network and communications systems experience
• Instrumentation experience within process facilities
• Electrical commissioning experience
• Experience supporting electrical transmission, distribution, or services infrastructure
• Exposure to reliability-centred maintenance and continuous improvement programs
