This position suits an experienced construction professional with strong knowledge of current mine‑site construction practices and a collaborative approach to building effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple contracting companies and construction projects on site
- Review and accept Contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Conduct punch‑list walkdowns and defect identification
- Manage isolation requirements in accordance with site procedures
- Review, interpret, and work from project drawings and technical documentation
- Liaise closely with Superintendents, site teams, contractors, and stakeholders on all relevant matters
- Coordinate with commissioning teams to support handover activities and SIMOPS
- Conduct field leadership activities to promote safety and performance
- Ensure all BMS and project obligations are met
- Maintain ongoing communication and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Comply with all responsibilities outlined in Health, Safety, and Environment policies
- Participate in all required safety initiatives and training programs
- Adhere to all safety directives and work instructions
- Act with integrity by leading by example and ensuring all work is completed safely and compliantly
- Hold individuals and contractors accountable for safety and performance standards
- Identify, report, and support the management of workplace incidents promptly
- W.A A Grade Electrical license or Tertiary qualifications as a minimum
- Relative project or construction supervision experience
- High voltage switching certificate
- Cert 4 in instrumentation and controls
- Experience in Fibre and communications networks
- Experience with completions management systems
- Post 10 years of electrical experience At least 5 years as a supervisor in mining
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to foster strong relationships.
- Ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence
- Experience in High Voltage distribution networks overhead and underground
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards, regulations and codes of practice associated with HS&E, construction, inspection, testing and commissioning.
