We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Advisor to support the delivery of high‑quality environmental assessments and approvals across our sites and projects. This role is responsible for ensuring that all approvals processes align with business objectives while maintaining strong compliance with State and Federal environmental legislation. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external regulators to guide projects through the regulatory approvals lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver environmental approvals that support and align with overall business objectives.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for operational sites and proposed projects.
- Prepare, compile and submit environmental approval applications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert environmental approvals advice, including developing approval strategies, managing approval-related projects, and coordinating environmental studies to support submissions.
- Communicate approvals requirements, progress and outcomes effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits as required to support assessments, studies and reporting.
- Tertiary degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of State and Federal environmental legislation.
- Strong report writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- 2–4 years’ experience in an environmental role within the resources sector or a relevant government department.
- Experience using GIS software for environmental assessments and mapping.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Pilbara environment, including regional ecological values and regulatory context.
