The Role
- Conduct blast hole QA/QC checks prior to charging
- Load, prime and stem blast holes in accordance with site procedures
- Assist with charging, tie-in and blast preparation activities
- Establish and maintain blast exclusion zones
- Complete pre- and post-blast inspections
- Operate and maintain blast equipment safely and effectively
- Follow all site safety, environmental and operational procedures
- Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing Drill & Blast team
- Minimum 2 years' Blast Crew experience
- Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Previous iron ore or large-scale open-pit mining experience highly regarded
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay
- 2/2 and 2/1 FIFO rosters available
