We are currently seeking experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitters for a 6-month FIFO opportunity at an iron ore site in the Pilbara region. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in maintaining dry plant equipment within a mining environment, and who are confident working in remote site conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment including crushers, conveyors, screens, and other dry plant components
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure minimal downtime
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to meet production targets
- Adhere to site safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Complete maintenance documentation and reporting as required
- Australian Trade qualification – Mechanical Fitter
- Previous experience in iron ore or hard rock mining environments
- Strong knowledge of dry plant operations and maintenance
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
