About the Role
An opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join a growing organisation within the disability and community services sector. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and performance management while ensuring alignment with NDIS Practice Standards and employment legislation
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment including advertising, screening, interviews, and onboarding
- Maintain staff compliance registers and track certifications, clearances, and mandatory training
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters including grievances, performance issues, and investigations
- Coordinate onboarding processes and ensure all pre-employment checks are completed
- Support performance review cycles and implement performance improvement plans
- Maintain HR systems and ensure data accuracy and reporting compliance
- Support implementation of HR policies and ensure adherence to Fair Work, SCHADS Award, and NDIS standards
- Assist with training coordination, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act, SCHADS Award, and employment legislation
- Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage confidential information and competing priorities
- Valid work rights in Australia and ability to obtain required compliance checks.
- Qualification in Human Resource Management or similar
- Experience within NDIS, healthcare, or community services sectors
- Experience using HR systems such as Employment Hero.
