About the Role We are seeking a motivated HSE Graduate Officer to support health, safety, and environmental functions across projects and operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across compliance, risk management, incident investigation, and environmental performance within a structured and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support HSE compliance with legislation, standards, and company policies
  • Assist with internal and external audits and track corrective actions
  • Participate in risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections
  • Assist in incident reporting, data collection, and investigation processes
  • Track corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure
  • Coordinate HSE training records, inductions, and competency tracking
  • Support safety culture initiatives including toolbox talks and awareness campaigns
  • Maintain HSE documentation, registers, and reporting systems
  • Assist in environmental monitoring including waste, emissions, and compliance reporting
  • Prepare HSE reports, dashboards, and performance metrics

Mandatory Requirements
  • Recent (or near completion) tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams

Preferred
  • 0–2 years’ experience in HSE, including internships or graduate roles
  • Exposure to oil & gas, marine, construction, or heavy industry environments
  • Basic understanding of Australian HSE regulations
  • Willingness to learn risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies
