About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced HV Commissioning Electricians to support major infrastructure and energy projects across Western Australia.
This position will see you involved in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems within complex project environments. You will play a key role in ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out commissioning, functional testing, and energisation of high-voltage systems including switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and control systems
  • Interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Perform testing including insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, and secondary injection
  • Conduct LV testing and fault finding
  • Commission control systems and assist with system integration
  • Undertake instrumentation calibration where required
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults and non-conformances
  • Maintain accurate commissioning records, test sheets, and documentation
  • Liaise with engineering and project teams to coordinate commissioning activities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality procedures
Requirements
  • WA Electrical Licence (or equivalent)
  • HV Switching Operator certification
  • Demonstrated experience in HV installation and commissioning environments
  • Strong understanding of protection and control systems
  • High level of safety awareness and commitment to compliance
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Current CPR/LVR and White Card
  • Valid driver's licence
Desirable
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mining, infrastructure, or energy projects
  • Experience with HV switching programs and execution of switching activities
  • Exposure to SCADA systems and protection relays (e.g. SEL, Schneider, Siemens)
  • Understanding of commissioning processes and documentation
  • Familiarity with isolation and permit-to-work systems
  • Knowledge of WA mining regulations and HV legislation
