We’re recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a high-performing workshop team specialising in the rebuild and overhaul of heavy mobile equipment components.

This is a Perth-based role within a structured Repairs Centre environment, working to OEM specifications and high-quality standards.

What’s on Offer:
  • $85 – $100 per hour
  • 10-hour days (Monday–Friday workshop)
  • 6-month contract with potential pipeline of ongoing work
  • Perth-based role – no FIFO
  • Opportunity to work in a structured, high-quality rebuild environment
  • Multiple hires planned across the next 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strip, inspect, rebuild and assemble heavy mobile equipment components
  • Work to OEM specifications, tolerances and QA/QC requirements
  • Conduct fault finding, measurements and condition assessments
  • Interpret technical drawings and service manuals
  • Complete rebuilds, including final drives, brake packs, pump drives and wheel hubs
  • Accurately complete inspection reports and job documentation
  • Maintain strong safety and quality standards at all times
About You:
  • Have a Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification or equivalent
  • Proven experience in component rebuilds (workshop environment preferred)
  • Exposure to heavy mobile equipment in mining or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of OEM rebuild procedures and tolerances 
  • Competent in using precision measurement tools (micrometres, bore gauges, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
