Join our client's team on a major power station project! We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with welding capability to assist with generator decommissioning and installation works in a live operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical fitting tasks for generator decommissioning and installation
- Confirm mechanical isolations and follow LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures
- Drain fluids (coolant, oil, diesel) and remove services/exhaust pipework
- Rigging and dogging for safe load movement
- Interpret installation drawings and install generators, gas pipework, exhaust, and air intake systems
- Complete basic welding tasks (cable trays, brackets, reinforcing mesh)
- Mechanical fitting experience in power station or heavy industrial projects
- Welding competency (basic structural welding)
- Rigging & dogging knowledge
- Familiarity with LOTO procedures and safety protocols
- Tickets: Working at Heights , EWP/Boom Lift , Forklift , HR licence (preferred)
