About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Technician to support plant sampling, test work, process monitoring, and continuous improvement activities across a major iron ore operation.
Working closely with Metallurgists and Process Engineers, you will assist with sample collection and preparation, plant trials, data management, and operational support across fixed plant processing circuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine plant sampling across wet and dry processing circuits
- Prepare and dispatch samples for laboratory analysis
- Support metallurgical test work and plant trials
- Operate and maintain sampling and testing equipment
- Complete data entry and maintain accurate records
- Support process engineering and operational teams
- Perform equipment checks, calibrations, and inspections
- Maintain strong safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Metallurgical Technician or similar role
- Fixed plant processing experience
- Previous site-based mining experience
- Current C Class Driver's Licence (Manual)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Iron ore processing experience
- Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemistry, or related discipline
- MR Licence
- Telehandler Ticket
- Working at Heights and Confined Space Tickets
- Senior First Aid Certificate
