Due to ongoing demand, they are looking to hire two complementary roles , Pump Fitters and Dredge Operator (or Pump Fitter with dredging experience).
If you’re an experienced Pump Fitter wanting to step into dredging — or you already have dredge exposure and want a long-term role with growth — this is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑performing, supportive team.
About These Roles
You’ll be part of the onsite dredging and dewatering operations, working alongside a skilled team maintaining critical equipment that keeps production moving.
Depending on your background, you will either:
Pump Fitter Role
- Focus on seal repairs, pump rebuilds, fault finding, and mechanical maintenance
- Support dredging operations and learn dredge-specific tasks over time
- Ideal for those who want to build into Dredge Operating
- Operate dredging equipment on floating pontoons and site water bodies
- Oversee slurry movement, agitation, and dredge efficiency
- Assist with pump maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ideal for those with marine, slurry, or dredging experience
Key Responsibilities (Across Both Roles)
- Rebuilding and maintaining slurry, submersible, and centrifugal pumps
- Diagnosing faults, replacing seals and bearings
- Assisting with dredge operations, setup, inspections, and performance checks
- Working safely as part of a tight-knit team in their mid‑20s to 30s
- Optional: paid workshop shifts during R&R for additional earnings
Pump Fitter Candidates:
- Strong experience with slurry pumps, dewatering pumps, or similar
- Pump Fitter Trade Certification preferred, Mechanical Fitters with pump exposure welcome
- Willingness to learn dredging and site operations
- Experience in dredging, marine operations, or slurry/pond environments
- Exposure to agitation systems, dewatering, or floating pump equipment
- Pump-fitting or mechanical background highly regarded
- Pump Fitters with dredging experience — are absolutely encouraged to apply.
- $60–$65 per hour (experience dependent)
- 8:6 roster , 12‑hour shifts
- Long-term work and potentially temp-to-perm opportunity with a highly regarded industry specialist
- Upskilling in dredging for mechanically skilled candidates
- Potential optional workshop shifts during R&R to boost income
