Our client is a trusted WA specialist in dredging and dewatering solutions across gold mine sites.

Due to ongoing demand, they are looking to hire two complementary roles , Pump Fitters and Dredge Operator (or Pump Fitter with dredging experience).

If you’re an experienced Pump Fitter wanting to step into dredging — or you already have dredge exposure and want a long-term role with growth — this is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑performing, supportive team.

About These Roles
You’ll be part of the onsite dredging and dewatering operations, working alongside a skilled team maintaining critical equipment that keeps production moving.
Depending on your background, you will either:

Pump Fitter Role
  • Focus on seal repairs, pump rebuilds, fault finding, and mechanical maintenance
  • Support dredging operations and learn dredge-specific tasks over time
  • Ideal for those who want to build into Dredge Operating
Dredge Operator Role
  • Operate dredging equipment on floating pontoons and site water bodies
  • Oversee slurry movement, agitation, and dredge efficiency
  • Assist with pump maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ideal for those with marine, slurry, or dredging experience
Both roles contribute to a collaborative team and offer the chance to diversify across mechanical, site service, and dredging tasks.

Key Responsibilities (Across Both Roles)
  • Rebuilding and maintaining slurry, submersible, and centrifugal pumps
  • Diagnosing faults, replacing seals and bearings
  • Assisting with dredge operations, setup, inspections, and performance checks
  • Working safely as part of a tight-knit team in their mid‑20s to 30s
  • Optional: paid workshop shifts during R&R for additional earnings
We’re Looking For
Pump Fitter Candidates:
  • Strong experience with slurry pumps, dewatering pumps, or similar
  • Pump Fitter Trade Certification preferred, Mechanical Fitters with pump exposure welcome
  • Willingness to learn dredging and site operations
Dredge Operator Candidates:
  • Experience in dredging, marine operations, or slurry/pond environments
  • Exposure to agitation systems, dewatering, or floating pump equipment
  • Pump-fitting or mechanical background highly regarded
  • Pump Fitters with dredging experience — are absolutely encouraged to apply.
What’s on Offer
  • $60–$65 per hour (experience dependent)
  • 8:6 roster , 12‑hour shifts
  • Long-term work and potentially temp-to-perm opportunity with a highly regarded industry specialist
  • Upskilling in dredging for mechanically skilled candidates
  • Potential optional workshop shifts during R&R to boost income
