About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to support procurement activities across the business. Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, this role focuses on sourcing, purchasing, and expediting goods and services while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Purchase and expedite materials, equipment, and services in line with company policies
• Source and engage cost-effective and reliable suppliers
• Manage RFQs and supplier negotiations to optimise price and delivery terms
• Ensure all goods and services meet required specifications and timelines
• Monitor and manage accurate costing of materials
• Support procurement initiatives across capital, maintenance, and operational spend
• Ensure business needs are met through effective procurement services

Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing or procurement roles
• Experience in mining, resources, or similar industries
• Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain, and logistics processes
• SAP experience
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred
• Experience in materials and inventory management
• Understanding of commercial and legal procurement terms
• Exposure to complex purchasing environments
