Reporting to the R&D Manager – Science, the QA/QC Scientist will be a key member of the R&D team, responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and traceability of laboratory data and materials used across experimental programs. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure laboratory data is accurately captured, reviewed, validated, and managed within LIMS or relevant information management systems
  • Perform detailed QA/QC reviews of experimental inputs and outputs to confirm data accuracy and consistency, identifying discrepancies and potential errors
  • Verify the integrity and traceability of materials, reagents, and samples throughout the full experimental lifecycle
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with QA/QC procedures, standard operating procedures, and standard work instructions
  • Ensure analytical methods are fit‑for‑purpose across a variety of matrices, including ores, solutions, and residues
  • Collaborate with metallurgists, chemists, process engineers, and operations teams to ensure analytical data effectively supports process performance
  • Prepare, review, and approve analytical reports for internal stakeholders and external reporting requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory quality systems and data management practices
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Science or related discipline
  • 1-3 years’ experience in laboratory with QA/QC environment
  • Demonstrate ability to critically assess the validity of experimental results
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent understanding and hands-on experience on sample preparation and analytical instrumentation such as XRD, XRF, ICP-OES, ion chromatography and autotitrator
