About the Role
Materials & Mining Support company is looking for versatile and reliable Rail Protection Officer  to support the completion of the Cranbrook Rail Out-Loading Optimisation Project. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt across various tasks, including general labour, basic mechanical and structural support, and potentially assisting with HSE duties. You’ll be working on a live rail siding with active train operations, so safety awareness and flexibility are key.

Initially up to 8 weeks worth of job, start on 12:2 roster for the first 4 weeks, and then 5:2 roster for the 4 weeks after that. 12 hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with site works including installation of guards, handrails, signage, and minor structural modifications.
  • Support commissioning activities including equipment testing and site clean-up.
  • Work alongside trades and technicians to ensure safe and timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all site safety protocols and contribute to HSE compliance.
Requirements
  • PTA PO1 and ARC Infrastructure POLO (essential)
  • Previous experience in construction, rail, or industrial site (essential)
  • Ability to work long shifts and adapt to changing rosters.
  • Willingness to assist across multiple disciplines (mechanical, structural, HSE)
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must complete CBH SitePass onboarding and site induction.
