This position focuses on applying reliability engineering methods, data analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and defect elimination activities to support the operation of the Ore Processing Facility (OPF).

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are applied correctly across all activities.
  • Overseeing quality assurance for critical processes.
  • Meeting performance targets for assigned budget areas.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and delivering them through to completion.
  • Develop and maintain Failure Modes, Effects and Symptoms Analysis (FMESA) and asset maintenance strategies.
  • Support Engineers with Critical Spares Reviews and the development of asset Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Carry out 5 Why investigations and manage Defect Elimination Portal (DEP) reporting to identify and resolve underlying reliability issues.
  • Review and enhance Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) for maintenance activities.
  • Lead and deliver reliability projects as part of Identify then Rectify (ITR) or Risk Reduction Activity (RRA) programs.
  • Assist Engineers in implementing reliability initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives, including ITR, RRA, and Business Improvement (BI) programs.
  • Provide engineering guidance for shutdown and routine maintenance activities when required.
  • Support Reliability Specialists with improvement initiatives and ongoing maintenance support.
  • Up to $80 p/hr 
Qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least two years of post-graduate experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide practical engineering support.
  • Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project (essential).
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
