Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are applied correctly across all activities.
- Overseeing quality assurance for critical processes.
- Meeting performance targets for assigned budget areas.
- Identifying improvement opportunities and delivering them through to completion.
- Develop and maintain Failure Modes, Effects and Symptoms Analysis (FMESA) and asset maintenance strategies.
- Support Engineers with Critical Spares Reviews and the development of asset Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Carry out 5 Why investigations and manage Defect Elimination Portal (DEP) reporting to identify and resolve underlying reliability issues.
- Review and enhance Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) for maintenance activities.
- Lead and deliver reliability projects as part of Identify then Rectify (ITR) or Risk Reduction Activity (RRA) programs.
- Assist Engineers in implementing reliability initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives, including ITR, RRA, and Business Improvement (BI) programs.
- Provide engineering guidance for shutdown and routine maintenance activities when required.
- Support Reliability Specialists with improvement initiatives and ongoing maintenance support.
- Up to $80 p/hr
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least two years of post-graduate experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide practical engineering support.
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project (essential).
- Working knowledge of SAP.
