About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to provide technical and maintenance engineering support across site-based operations. This role focuses on analysing mobile haul OEMs, identifying failure trends, and implementing maintenance strategies to improve asset reliability and minimise production disruption.

You will work closely with maintenance teams and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective solutions and drive continuous improvement across heavy mobile equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on reliability support to maintenance and workshop teams
  • Analyse equipment performance data to identify trends, faults, and improvement opportunities
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on major or recurring equipment failures
  • Implement maintenance strategies to improve asset performance and prevent failures
  • Support planning teams to ensure maintenance targets and schedules are achievable
  • Monitor KPIs and review daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
  • Identify and recommend critical spare parts and maintenance requirements
  • Manage equipment-specific improvement projects and liaise with mobile OEMs (haul) and vendors
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across site operations

Mandatory Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade qualification
  • Strong experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance or similar environment
  • Proven experience in reliability engineering, defect elimination, and maintenance strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment

Preferred
  • Experience in mining or resources environments
  • Familiarity with SAP or maintenance management systems
  • Condition monitoring experience or certification
  • Postgraduate qualification in reliability engineering
