The program includes the electrification of operations, development of large‑scale renewable energy generation, battery storage and transmission infrastructure, and the introduction of a zero‑emissions mining fleet.
The HSE function plays a critical role in ensuring these activities are planned and executed safely, in compliance with regulatory and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate exemplary leadership and role‑modeling in health and safety standards.
- Consistently promote and uphold the client’s values across all activities.
- Lead and manage a team of 6–8 Safety Advisors operating across multiple project sites.
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance management of Safety Advisors.
- Act as the primary safety liaison between Perth‑based Project Managers, site teams, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Attend and actively contribute to project planning risk assessments and project kick‑off meetings.
- Participate in and provide input to Project Executive meetings and corporate Health and Safety forums.
- Develop, implement, and track progress against the annual Projects Safety Management Plan and associated initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver accurate weekly and monthly HSE reports.
- Support, monitor, and assure effective contractor mobilisation processes to ensure safety compliance from commencement.
