As a key member of the Infrastructure Design team, this role encompasses a diverse range of civil infrastructure design skills. Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure, you’ll have the opportunity to:

- Be involved in all project phases—from scoping, prefeasibility and feasibility through to execution.
- Lead the civil design for studies/projects under the guidance of a project lead (for suitably experienced candidates).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assigned work within agreed project schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams across the business.
- Prepare detailed civil engineering designs, with a focus on earthworks and road infrastructure for mining and energy projects.
- Work with engineers to define design requirements and consolidate information into coherent, integrated design models.
- Produce design outputs that align with applicable standards—Australian Standards for local projects or international equivalents where required.
- Manage GIS and spatial data (both internal and public datasets) to inform models and design deliverables.
- Contribute to project meetings, presenting and discussing design options where needed.
- Develop geospatial files and mapping content to support design and approvals.
- Generate 3D civil models and document geometric designs, including earthworks cut/fill quantities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Senior Civil Designer role.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to respond to evolving project demands.
- Extensive experience in technical design and the preparation of construction documentation.
- Skilled in the layout and detailing of civil infrastructure, drainage, and non-process infrastructure.
- Proficient in civil design software, particularly 12d Model and MicroStation .
- Strong background in spatial data management; experience with Global Mapper and ArcGIS highly regarded.
- Diploma of Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience working in a BIM and 3D modelling environment, including attribute customisation.
- Ability to create custom functions or macros within 12d is highly desirable.
- Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment with like-minded professionals.
