About the Opportunity:
Join industry-leading organisation in the resources and renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced  Senior Cost Controller  to join their  Project Services & Controls  team. This role will be key in implementing robust cost management processes, driving project performance, and supporting large-scale, complex projects with global impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Implement and maintain project cost control systems, processes, and reporting.
  • Lead cost and progress reporting, providing accurate insights and highlighting corrective actions.
  • Mentor and support junior cost controllers.
  • Application of the project Work Breakdown Structure to ensure all systems, processes and reporting reflect the standard approach on the projects.
  • Manage project budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and accruals.
  • Collaborate with procurement and project teams on contracts, purchase orders, performance tracking, and setup in PIMS and SAP systems.
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to measure progress and assess risks.
  • Ensure project change management process (PCN) is utilised diligently on project
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
What We’re Looking For
  • 6+ years’ experience  in project controls, ideally in  resources, renewables, engineering, or technology-based projects .
  • Proven ability to manage cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting across large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project control principles including transition from estimate to budget.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with cost control systems (Omega PIMS highly regarded).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree in  Engineering, Commerce, or Finance ; project management or controls certification desirable.
