About the role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Design Engineering team for a large, global EPCM based in Perth's CBD. The role will initially focus on Sustaining Capital Projects.
About You
Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will have experience in the below:
- Non-Process Infrastructure within mining environments, including camps, resorts, water packages, and EV charging projects.
- Proficiency in HV submission, protection settings, earthing studies, arc flash assessments, and load flow analysis (steady state and transient), considering various switching scenarios and fault levels.
- Experience conducting harmonic filter studies.
- Strong background in LV design, including load lists, cable sizing, maximum demand calculations, breaker sizing, and protection grading.
- Familiarity with FIP, VESDA, and Romteck systems in water treatment plants or firewater projects.
- Ability to develop and produce electrical equipment/instrument lists for WWTP, WTP, OWS, and LV & HV wash bay packages.
- Experience working with Profibus, Profinet, RS232/RS485 serial communications, and DI/DO/AI/AO card selections.
- Expertise in integrating PLC/SCADA systems, reviewing functional descriptions and control philosophies, developing I/O lists, termination diagrams, network block diagrams, and generating commissioning test documents (FAT/SAT).
- Experience conducting Lightning Risk Assessments as per AS1768 standards.
- Hold a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years experience in a Senior role within a consulting environment
- 12 month rolling contract.
