Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical engineering design for mining, infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
- Act as self-perform Design Engineer or Owner’s Engineer depending on project needs.
- Develop scopes of work, technical requirements and design criteria.
- Prepare and review reports, specifications, drawings, calculations and datasheets.
- Oversee electrical power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection, arc flash, earthing, harmonics).
- Collaborate with OEMs, EPC partners and consultants to develop safe, compliant solutions.
- Support estimating activities and provide construction/commissioning assistance.
- Represent the electrical discipline in multi-disciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering tools, standards and processes.
- Champion health, safety and environmental excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience in mining, resources or energy sectors.
- Skilled across LV & HV systems (400V–33kV), substations, switchgear and power distribution.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience conducting and interpreting power system studies.
- CPEng and/or RPEQ preferred (or working toward).
- Strong communicator with proven ability to manage multiple work fronts.
- High computer literacy and familiarity with digital/AI engineering tools.
