Key Responsibilities:
- Provide input and guidance to project design to ensure alignment with the agreed scope and achievement of study or project objectives.
- Review engineering and design deliverables for compliance with specifications, standards, guidelines, and project criteria.
- Develop comprehensive project work packs, including scope interfaces, packages, battery limits, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Prepare vendor and contractor contract and tender packages, including technical data, scopes of work, specifications, and contract schedules.
- Contribute to the Safety in Design process and participate in functional safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, RAMCO, constructability assessments, technical design reviews, and risk evaluations.
- Track and manage progress and key milestones for the processing scope throughout study and project phases, including coordination with other scopes and project teams.
- Oversee safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of procurement and contract packages within your scope, covering design works, equipment and material supply, construction, completions, commissioning, technical queries, and communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management qualification, or equivalent trade experience.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project engineering or package management within mining, materials handling, or heavy industry.
- Proven experience in major projects, particularly in project and/or package engineering roles.
- Strong background in both design and execution phases of projects, including concept design, FEED, detailed design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning. Experience in operations or maintenance is advantageous.
- Familiarity with materials handling systems, dry processing, crushing and screening, conveying, stockyards, loadouts, water systems, pumping, and fixed plant maintenance facilities is highly regarded.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments and contribute to project delivery teams.
- A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to changing project requirements and timelines.
