About the Job / Project
You will be working across a portfolio of mining and infrastructure projects, supporting design, technical assessments, and compliance activities related to water resources.
The position involves collaboration with project engineers, environmental teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver effective water management outcomes across project lifecycles.
Pay / Roster / Dates
- $90 – $100 per hour
- Perth-based | Mon–Fri | 45 hours per week
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 12-month contract
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modelling assessments
- Analyse rainfall and catchment data to support engineering design
- Design surface water infrastructure including culverts and floodways
- Provide technical advice on water resource management across projects
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and scopes of work
- Support flood risk assessments and stormwater management strategies
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with water approvals and regulatory compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or similar
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in water resources engineering
- Strong experience in hydrology, hydraulic modelling, and stormwater design
- Proficiency in TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and/or RORB
- Experience using GIS tools
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Experience in mining, consulting, or complex project environments (highly regarded)
- Knowledge of WA water regulations (desirable)
