JOB TITLE:
FIFO/DIDO/BIBO Utility Workers – Mobile Camp Project Support
LOCATION:
Traditional lands of the Wajarri Yamaji, WA
ROSTER:
14-day swings | 12-hour shifts (day or night) | 1-hour break
START DATE:
Not for immediate start | Starting in July
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
This is a new site involving the setup of mobile camps while permanent village construction is underway. The project is part of one of the most ambitious global science projects, supported by 16 countries.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 12 months FIFO experience – this is a remote site, best suited to experienced and adaptable workers.
- Must be able to work independently, in harsh conditions, with minimal supervision.
- No mobile reception on site – limited Wi-Fi access available.
- Strict device policy applies:
- All electronic devices (phones, smart watches, tablets, wireless headphones) must be switched off or in flight mode from a specified point in transit.
- This is non-negotiable and must be clearly communicated to all personnel.
MOBILISATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of company and client online inductions
- Successful site access approval process
- Attendance at a mandatory Cultural Awareness training session (in-person, runs weekly and must be pre-booked)
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- Workers must supply their own lace-up steel cap boots and unbranded PPE (cotton hi-vis shirts and pants – samples available on request).
- FIFO/DIDO/BIBO from Perth only.
- Due to the camp's remoteness, no nearby amenities or stores are available.
