DRD Recruitment are looking to support our client based in Forrestdale in the Pool Industry! The role is ideal for an emerging Safety and/or People & Culture Officer. The role has become available due to the continued growth and will work closely with 20 staff in a corporate environment.
The role is ideally for Full-time, but available for Part-Time with a minimum of 25 hours/week. Suitable candidates may include recent HR Graduates or Cert IV in HSE. The client is looking for self-starters, proactive, problem solvers, individuals who can identify opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities are:
- Workplace Health & Safety
- Complete scheduled and ad hoc workplace safety audits, document findings, and escalate issues with recommended actions.
- Coordinate safety training and maintain records of compliance and attendance.
- Support department managers in implementing safety programs and reporting obligations.
- Implement and maintain the Skytrust WHS database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date safety and compliance information.
- Support wellbeing and safety initiatives across the organisation.
Onboarding & Induction
- Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires to ensure a seamless transition into the company.
- Prepare and manage onboarding documentation, including contracts, organisational charts, job descriptions, IT setup, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct orientation sessions and establish ongoing support systems for new employees.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Assist in planning and delivering employee engagement initiatives such as recognition programs, wellness activities, training sessions, and company events.
- Monitor employee satisfaction through engagement surveys and regular check-ins, reporting insights to management.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives aligned with company values.
- Contribute to internal communication efforts including staff newsletters and organisational updates.
HR Administration & Document Control
- Maintain and update employee records, employment contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Support managers with leave management, performance tracking, and internal HR communications.
- Maintain a centralised, live company document library to ensure version control and accessibility of key resources.
